At the outset I must say it was ‘outstanding’. It was probably the biggest in size and the best in location. The gathering comprised of all sectors of shipping and logistic -customs clearing, multi-modal transport, air freight logistics, shipping software, container freight stations, inland container depots, Main Line Operators (MLOs), Non-Vessel Operating Common Carriers (NVOCCs), Multi-modal Transport Operators (MTOs), Custom Brokers (CBs), Charterers, Ro-Ro specialists, ISO Tank Operators, Digital Software analysts, transport interests, Container Train Operators (CTOs), private freight terminal (PFT) operators and many related and interested personnel. It was over-whelming for networking – I did not know from where to start. For starting I tried to use Parkinson’s Law when entering the hall after the awards ceremony – and failed because everybody was everywhere. Imagination staggers……

The MALA Awards is an event that is eagerly awaited each year. It marks the culmination of a year of shipping and logistics activities where active stake holders strive to achieve the best and take part in MALA. While the MALA Awards stays at the top in everyone’s mind, its always good to have participated. That eventually is the spirit of the MALA Awards.
